META
Meta Platforms, Inc., formerly known as Facebook, Inc., is an American company that owns and operates Facebook, Instagram, and other products and services. We cover Meta specifically for orders placed through our Facebook Shop and/or Instagram storefronts. In this section, we will discuss Meta's data and sharing practices, as well as the returns policy.
When you use our Facebook and Instagram Shops, which are owned by Meta, any information that we collect about you through the pixels of those shops, including cookies, may be shared with Meta to help us improve your experience on our website or the ads that you see. Boba Blinks' complete Terms Of Use can be found here.
Here is an excerpt from Meta's data sharing practices.
"Customer activity data is shared using the Meta Pixel, advanced matching, and Conversions API. Customers can disconnect this data from their Facebook account by changing their settings for Off-Facebook Activity." Meta's full privacy and data sharing information can be found in this article.
The following is an excerpt from Meta's Terms of Sale regarding Returns. Complete Meta Terms Of Sale are listed here.
Please note that Meta has a 30-day return window, but businesses can choose to modify the return window to 0, making items final sale. Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns. Click this link to read more.
"You have the right, within 30 days from the date of your receipt of any Products, to return the Products. This right does not apply to any Products that are stated by us to be non-returnable, including gift cards and any Products that have been personalized or modified in accordance with your instructions. The Products must be fully returned in their original packaging with the applicable proof of purchase (i.e. a copy of your receipt) and you may be responsible for the cost of returning the Products to us. If, on return to us, it is determined that the Products have been used, damaged, are missing components, and/or are not in resalable condition, we may charge a restocking fee or otherwise reduce the amount of your refund to take account of this use, damage or any missing components. If you return a Product bought as part of a bundle but do not return all of the bundled Products, we will reimburse you for the Product you do return minus the value of the applicable bundle discount.
In order to return any Products, you must inform us of your decision by contacting Customer Care in accordance with the instructions listed at https://www.meta.com/help/."AFTERPAY
Afterpay is a third-party solution in the payment process where consumers can use Afterpay to shop online or in stores and pay for their purchases in installments over a six-week period. This solution is relevant because we offer Afterpay as a payment option on our site. To better understand this excerpt, the Merchant refers to the store where you make your purchase. The excerpts below are from Afterpay's refund and returns page. The full policy can be found here.
"First, the merchant has to process the refund in their system. The refund will then drop through to reflect on your Afterpay account, and if you're owed a refund back to your card, it will be returned to the card that was used to make the payments. Once processed, the money can take up to 10 business days to be returned to your card/s, depending on your financial institution. It is important to remember that returns are always subject to the merchants refund policy. This information can normally be found on their website or by contacting the merchant directly."
SHOP PAY
The following sections from Shop Pay's Terms of Service are relevant to our business and describe the Shop Pay Platform and refund policies. To better understand this excerpt, Shop and Shop Pay are synonymous in this section. Additionally, the Merchant refers to the store where you make your purchase. Please refer to Shop Pay's full terms here."2.2 Shop is a platform that connects you with Merchants, but any contract of sale made through Shop is directly between you and the Merchant. You, and not Shopify, are responsible for the purchases you make using Shop. The Merchant, and not Shopify, is responsible for the goods or services that you may purchase from them in Shop, including but not limited to delivery, refunds, fraud, advertising, liability relating to the Merchant's products or services, or non-compliance with applicable law."
"2.3 Your access to and use of Shop does not change your relationship with the Merchant, third party services or platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, Amazon or Google) or with your bank or credit card company."
"2.4 Shopify cannot intervene in any dispute between you and a Merchant for any transactions in Shop. If you find yourself in a dispute with a Merchant, another Shop user or a third party, we encourage you to contact the other party and try to resolve the dispute outside of Shop. You can submit a complaint in Shop, and Shop will forward your complaint to the Shopify Merchant with a request that they contact you directly. Shopify will not make judgments regarding factual disputes or legal issues or claims. Shopify has no obligation to resolve any disputes. You release Shopify from any claims, demands, and damages arising out of disputes relating to your use of Shop, including those with other users or parties."
